A dream where lovers almost meet,
Upon a field of green.
Yet, in this field, a fence divides,
It's made of wire and steel...
It keeps me feeling lost to you...
Not expressing all I feel.
Fingers locked within a mesh of wire,
I watch the beauty of your style...
Eyes so soulful, yet so sad,
Through the fence I see no smile.
Adoring friends around you join,
Yet, I can't see you play...
Then I'm taken gently by the hand,
And from fence I'm lead away.
My gaze now broke, yet mind still true,
Sees only eyes of you...
I take a tumble through the grass...
Hope you're feeling this way too.
Still, there comes an ache from deep inside,
To join you on your ground...
To surrender my defenses there,
All fences strippen down.
Yet, you won't clearly look my way,
Nor signal how you feel...
